NDSU Rye Varieties

'ND Dylan', was released in 2016 by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station. The North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association has rights to the production and distribution of seeds. 'ND Dylan' has a high yield and very good winter hardiness. Data gathered over multiple years indicate a yield advantage over current commercial varieties.

'ND Gardner' was developed by the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center agronomy program, under the direction of Steve Zwinger. 'ND Gardner' is a very early maturing winter rye, 6 days earlier to heading than 'ND Dylan'.
