'Traill' was released by NDSU in 1997. Classed as Grp 0.00, 'Traill' is similar to 'Agassiz' and 8 days later than 'McCall'. Height is similar to 'Agassiz'. It has purple flowers, tawny (brown) pubescence, brown pods and large yellow seeds with intermediate seed coat lustre and yellow hila. 'Traill' has good seedling vigor, iron chlorosis tolerance and excellent recovery from saturated soil water conditions. It has no major genes for phytophthora resistance. 

To help ensure genetic purity, 'Traill' soybean has been protected by PVPA Title V (issued certificate No. 9700293) and must be sold as a class of certified seed.
