'ND17009GT' Glyphosate Tolerant Soybean (RFP-287)

ND17009GT was developed by the Soybean Breeding Program at North Dakota State University and released by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in 2017. ND17009GT is a glyphosate resistant soybean variety.

ND17009GT’s relative maturity is 00.9. Its early maturity makes it a good fit for the northern areas of North Dakota.

ND17009GT performed very well in trials across North Dakota and also in the Multi-State Uniform Regional Test. In 2015-2016 ND17009GT produced 62.3 bushels/acre compared to 56.6 bushels/acre for AG00632 and 56.8 bushels/acre for AG00932 in the Uniform Regional Test.

ND17009GT is resistant to race 4 of phytophthora root rot.

This new variety also has moderate tolerance to iron-deficiency chlorosis.

ND17009GT exhibits sensitivity to metribuzin herbicide. Injury has not been observed when using the recommended application rate of metribuzin. ND17009GT has white flower color, tawny pubescence, brown pods, shiny seed coat luster and black hila.

To help ensure genetic purity, ND17009GT soybean has been protected under PVPA Title V (certificate No. 2018000125) and must be sold as a class of certified seed.
